Dr. Kelleh Gbawuru-Mansaray is a consultant in Energy and Environmental Technologies with Transtech International Limited. Dr. Kelleh Gbawuru-Mansaray’s long term experience in the Energy and Environmental Technologies gives him a cutting edge above most specialists in this field. He is experienced in performing detailed analysis of energy and environmental technologies experienced in project development, implementation and monitoring. Dr. Gbawuru-Mansaray is fluent in English and has a credible knowledge of German. He is equally comfortable working in self – directive environment or as a member of a team. As a member of a team Dr. Gbawuru-Mansaray’s experience with PC – based software with programming capabilities he uses the internet resources excellently for energy and environmental research.
Before coming to Transtech International, Dr. Kelleh-Gbawuru Mansaray, funded and acts as Managing Director of KELCO SOLAR AND ELECTRONICS, FREETOWN in 2007. Kelco Solar and Electronics provides public information on solar, wind and mini-hydro power systems using several media. Kelco develops, implements and monitors renewable energy projects; also markets, installs and services renewable energy systems and communication equipment. Kelco undertakes training of technical personnel and end – users.
Dr. Kelleh-Gbawuru Mansaray served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry/Physics from 2001 – 2007 at the MOUNT STAIN VIINCENT UNIVERSITY. As Assistant Professor, he developed and delivered Environmental Engineering to students in a wide variety of Programmes, conducted research on pollution prevention and waste minimization.
Earlier he worked at SYDCRUDE CANADA LTD. Edmonton, Alberta, Canada as a postdoctoral Research Fellow in Chemical Engineering Division (1991 – 2001), where he conducted research on the hydro-dynamics of fluidized Bed Cold Flow Reactor. His key responsibilities included daily plant operation, experimental design/execution, data analysis and reporting.
In 1998 – 1999 he was Research Associate, Agricultural Engineering Department at the DALHOUSE UNIVERSITY in Halifax, Novascotia, Canada where he designed, fabricated and managed a pilot – scale fluidized bed biomass reactor; provided good insight of the kinetics of thermal degradation of biomass fuels and a better understanding of the factors affecting agglomeration in fluidized bed reactors.
Dr. Kelleh Gbawuru-Mansaray was a lecturer at the University of Sierra Leone, Njala University College from 1992 – 1994. He prepared and taught undergraduate courses in Renewable Energy Technologies, supervised a number of undergraduate projects in Renewable Energy Technologies. He assisted in coordinating a committee set up for drafting a proposal for the establishment of an Appropriate Technology Training Centre in Sierra Leone.
Dr. Kelleh Gbawuru-Mansaray started his working life at the Renewable Energy Research Unit Njala University College as a Research Assistant from 1986 – 1990. His responsibilities included supervision of undergraduate project in Renewable Energies, taught some courses to undergraduate students in the same field. He managed a project funded by the FRENCH TECHNICAL COOPERATION, which resulted in the establishment of a Renewable Energy Laboratory within the unit.
At the present moment Dr. Kelleh Gbawuru-Mansaray combines his consultant position at TRANSTECH INTERNATIONAL with the position of a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering at the University of Sierra Leone, Fourah Bay College. He is a native of Sierra Leone, and maintains residences in Canada and the Republic of Sierra Leone. |
