Wilbourne Showers is a professional economist. His areas of specialism include International Trade and Finance, Macroeconomic Stabilization Policies, Poverty Reduction Strategies and Economic Development, Debt Management. Corporate Finance and Investments.

Mr. Wilbourne Showers has an outstanding academic background. He graduated from the department of Economics and Commerce in 2004 with a first class honours degree in Economics. In 2009 he got his M.Phill Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon.

He has expanded his horizon on issues of national and international economic development by attending advanced training programs in economics; viz: fundamentals of finance & financial market – Ghana Stock Exchange, Corporate Finance – Ghana stock exchange, investment analysis and portfolio management, research question and concept formation, research methods and macro economic modeling. Prior to coming to his position at Transtech International as an economic consultant Wilbourne  Showers had risen to the position of Senior Investment Officer at the National Social Security and Insurance Trust where he initiated and implemented investment projects on behalf of the trust.

Wilbourne is an expert in International trade, finance and investment and has made a significant contribution to the development of Sierra Leone’s local and international trade and investment environment.
